FAQ
RED FAQ’s
Q. What is RED?
A. RED is the young adult ministry of Stockton Community Church.
Q. What does RED stand for?
A. RED stands for Real, Engaged, and Devoted.
Q. What ages are considered “young adult?”
A. RED consists of young adults who are at the youngest, post high school, and go through young adults in their 20’s and 30’s. We ask that teens in high school or younger not attend the RED nights as there is wonderful youth ministry, CMYM (link), to serve their specific needs. We have no specific age limit, so as long as you identify yourself as a young adult, you are more than welcome to join us!
Q. What does RED hope to achieve?
A. Please follow this link to view RED’s Vision, Mission, and Purpose.
Q. Where does RED meet?
A. RED meets in the sanctuary of Stockton Community Church located at 1136 South Center Street Stockton, CA 95206.
Q. I would love to attend, can I bring my children?
A. We are in the process of recruiting volunteers with child care during the worship experiences. Check back soon for more details. In the meantime, we have a nursery for small children to assist with your specific needs.
Q. What do I need to wear to your church and how long are the worship experiences?
A. RED nights are very casual. Jeans and t-shirts are fine, but if you want to dress to impress you are more than welcome to! We know that time is valuable and that we are all very busy. With that in mind, our worship experiences last between 75-90 minutes.
Q. Ok, so I’m ready to come by, what else do I need to know?
A. The RED staff wants you to know that we are really excited that you have decided to check us out. These young adult years are exciting times in life, and many of the decisions we make during these years are pivotal to our futures. We hope that these RED nights, just for young adults, will help you connect with God on a deeper level and provide a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships with people on similar journey as you.
Q. I’m really excited about RED. How can I get involved?
A. There are many ways to get involved. We have volunteer opportunities to help with guest relations, set up and tear down, administrative, media, and music. Please contact Jesse at JFernando@stocktoncommunity.org to sign up!
